San Jose, California, October 5th, 2016

Oculus and Force Field, Europe’s largest dedicated VR studio, today jointly announced and revealed Landfall, the first of a number of titles Force Field is developing for Oculus Studios. The Oculus Rift game will launch early 2017.

The game is a tactical action shooter game that gives players both a panoramic 3rd person and immersive 1st person view of a futuristic battlefield, as they take on the role of a commander leading a group of soldiers into battle. Players use their weapons and abilities to push back the enemy and pilot huge bipedal war machines to help tip the balance in their favor.

In a pre-event blog post, Oculus announced Landfall as one of the games they are most excited for, welcoming attendees to play the game for the first time ever at the event.

Arthur Houtman, CEO of Force Field added: “We are excited to reveal Landfall and are looking forward to people finally being able to get their hands on the 2 vs 2 multiplayer demo that will be present at the show floor. We are very proud of our partnership with Oculus and the possibilities it has given us to take a leading role in building a strong and healthy VR ecosystem, full of fantastic experiences. “

When it launches early next year, Landfall will feature both single and multiplayer vs modes, as well as a co-op campaign.
